Calle delle Cappuccine
This project has been created to develop and rethinks the interior space of an old Venetian house located in Calle delle Cappuccine. The apartment is 50mq big with two rooms that are mainly used during summer for holidays or to rent through Airbnb.
ONE OF THE MAIN CONCERNS WAS TO LEAVE THE KITCHEN AND THE BATHROOM IN THE ACTUAL POSITION DUE TO ISSUES RELATED TO WATER AND ELECTRICITY AND FOR A MORE ECONOMIC COST OF CONSTRUCTION.
The objective was to create a wider and more open space, making the living room the main space and not a secondary space, often not in use. While the original house had two bedrooms I decided to keep only one real bedroom. The second bedroom can, however, be created if more guests are living in the apartment by sliding the glass door present in the living room and the privacy is given by a thick curtain. Both bedrooms benefit from large storage spaces created above and below the bed creating a bold solution without wasting any space.
